How would I write a grant request?

I am looking for financial gifts [any amount] to enable me to get my handcrafted jewelry business off the ground. I think I could do everything I need to do with $25,000.00

I need grant money to incorporate my business and get the necessary licensing, supplies [ie; glass, metal findings, chains etc.]  machinery [kiln, grinder etc.]

I also need money to purchase a domain and host for my website that must have a shopping cart program for sales and adequate space for paid advertising.

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

Everyone has different reasons to find a way to produce an adequate income in their lives. We just hope you find some information to help guide you through your quest as we did in our hunt for a better life.

I want to start my own business.  However, everything I read about writing a grant propsal is overwhelming.  I was hoping to receive grant money to help with the start up cost but I am at a lose about beginning the grant writing.  Can anyone help me make this proces a little less scary?

I have a lot of ambition and I work very hard when I have the opportunity to do so.  It's just that I have been stuck in this little, hill-billy town for the past 3 years and I cannot find any kind of gainful employment at all.

It's not that I haven't looked either because I have been to every single store or business in this small town with no success.

So therefore, I plan to start my own business Web site where I can work from my apartment on my home computer but the thing is that I need someone who can help fund the purchase of the site builder so I can build my own site.

The overall purpose of my Web business will be to earn money - of course but the underlying reason will be so I can teach others how to become successful affilliate marketers.

If you decide to help me purchase the program needed to build my site, I will let you know what Web site address I register and you will be able to watch my site's progress on a day by day basis.

At 33 I never thought I'd loose the man of my dreams but my 2 children and I did last Oct.  My now 13 yr old son and soon to be 4 year old daughter are now fatherless and I am faced with having to take care of them on a veterinary technician salary.  I have lived in FL for 20 years and after everything thats happened this past year we all need a new start in life.  We would like to move to Colorado and I would like to go to school and start my own business which has always been my dream.  My son has some emotional and physical disabilities and require very costly medications.  I am making ends meet, just barely but I had to give up insurance and other things for myself to make sure they have insurance and pay for counseling.  I make just enough money to not qualify for any assistance, but its still not enough because of the debts he left behind that I am paying off.  I would love to be able to go back to school full time to get a business degree to someday be able to support my family on my own.  If any one can help me do that I would be eternally grateful. 

I am a 30% disabled service connected veteran. Father of six and husband of one. We have two children ages 13 and17 in our home. I was terminated today from my job. We have major needs and I can't seem to depend upon any company for my families future....I want to buy and existing business or start one of our own.

I am a hard working, low-income single mother who is desperatly trying to better our lives.  As of now my bank account has been over drawn for almost a month and I cannot even begin to make ends meet.  I have been searching daily for a better or a second job with no luck.  My other concern about this is the additional cost of child care, will finding a second job actually be worth it when thinking of the extra money I will have to spend on this?  I feel so stuck right now.  I am also working on a business plan to start a business that I know will be profitable and improve our lives greatly and have enrolled in a debt consolidation program.  The problem is that I have horrible credit and cannot even afford the payments for the debt consolidation.  I do not have poor credit because I am irresponsible, I have poor credit because I have so many medical bills and cannot afford them, only a very small part of what I owe is anything but medical.  I guess what I'm looking for is a second chance, a chance to start over and improve our lives.  My goal is to get my bank account out of the hole, pay off my debt, repair my credit and start my business.  If there are any angels out there that could help, I could sure use one now!  If anyone believes in giving second chances, please consider me.  Any help at all would be a miracle at this point and you have no idea how appreciative I would be!  Thank you so much for taking your time to read this.

I am a single mother of a beautiful daughter who just turned six.  My daughter is my life and I just want her to be happy.  Right now we do not have a lot, but at least we have eachother!  I work hard as a barista at Starbucks and I love my job, but right now it just isn't paying the bills!  I have the goal of running a successful business, I just need the chance to prove myself.

I am a single mom with low income seeking grants for various reasons.  I am 31 and am wanting to return to college full time to further my education and career.  I am also like so many other americans and suffer from debt and looking to clean up my debt to gain respectable credit so I may one day be able to buy a home of our own.  I would like to also one day be able to have my own business so after working so hard can have more time and money to support my son.  My son and I would also like to adopt a child so that he may have a sibling, and I can help another child grow up in a loving environment.

I need assistance in money aid , want to start a business, and purchase a home.
